MS Walk 2011

This weekend our little family is participating in the MS Walk 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Why did we choose this walk to support?  We could have signed up for a different walk, but this ugly disease hits close to home for us.  Jesse’s father, Wayne, has suffered from MS since he was a young man.  I want my kids to know that we support the efforts to find a cure for this horrible disease.   Our participation not only shows that we love and support our family and friends with MS, but that we support programs, services and research to make a difference in the lives of those who suffer daily from MS.

The MS Walk also gives us as a family the opportunity to be active together!  The more opportunities we have to MOVE, the better!  The walk is 3.14 miles which is a lot for little 4 year old legs.  She wants to run the whole thing!  I am looking forward to making this a tradition for our family.  I’ll update you next week to let you know how it goes.

Come join us if you can.  You can sign up HERE.   We walk for One Eye Wayne.   Who do you walk for?
