“10”

Although it is getting warm outside, I am still inside running on the treadmill.  (maybe a bit TOO warm where I am !)  My latest drill you can customize a bit to suit your needs.  You can add or take away from this one to make it as longer or shorter.  I’ll give you the guts of it, and you can change it for your own torture….er, pleasure.

I’ve lovingly named this one “10”.  You’ll see why.

–  Warm up:  7-8 minutes.  End at a comfortable pace that you can start to add speed from (not too fast or too slow).  I refer to this as baseline.
–  10 minute speed drill:  Add speed 10 times, once every minute.  (ex:  6.1 – 7.0)
–  5 minute easy walk or jog
–  10 minute climb:  Start on a 0 and add one level of incline every minute (1 – 10)
–  5 minute easy walk or jog
–  10 minute speed drill:  Add speed 10 times, once every minute.
–  Cool down and stretch:  7 – 8 minutes

Total Time:  55 minutes

Now to customize it:
–  If you want it shorter, take the last speed drill out.
–  If you want it longer, add another 10 minute climb.

Have fun with the “10” drill.  Already considering a “15” drill.  Don’t get too excited.
