Homemade Bread Crumbs as easy as 1-2-3

I really am making a concentrated effort to create healthier meals for my kids. Some nights I get a 2 thumbs up, smiles, cheers, and some “mmmm, this is good” coming out of their stuffed little mouths. And other nights I get a grimace, a gag, and a full meal being deposited into the trash can. You win some, you loose some.

One recent win we had were Homemade Chicken Nuggets. You can find them here, but I wanted to put the homemade bread crumbs on a separate post. The crumbs are super easy and you can make a larger batch and freeze them for later!

Steps:
1.Tear slices of bread into small pieces and lay on cookie sheet.
2.Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, turning with a spatula half way through.
3.Place in blender or food processor and blend until crumbs are fine.

And that’s it! I wait to add any seasonings in depending on the dish I am using the crumbs in. Enjoy!
