Easy Summer Marinade

The kids have officially been out of school for 2 weeks, and I am officially ready for them to go back. Ha – I’m just kidding! Sort of.

When summer hits, I try to make meals as simple as possible. Less time in the kitchen equals more time playing outside and enjoying the nice (and sometimes brief) weather we have here in Utah. With that being said, we marinate a lot of meat during the summer because for me, this equals simplicity. I can marinate it all day or night and have something scrumptious and delicious to throw on the grill that I know everyone will like. This is one of my favorite go-to marinades because I know it tastes great with any meat. It is from a different recipe I posted last year.

2 oranges
1/2 cup liquid aminos (or low sodium soy sauce)
1 TB minced garlic
diced green onion
1 TB sesame oil
1-2 TB sesame seeds

In a blender, squeeze the juice of one orange.  Peel the other orange and place slices into blender. Add all other ingredients. Blend and pour over meat of choice. Place in fridge to marinate overnight. Grill or broil meat.

Happy Marinating and Grilling!
